Sei lezioni in presenza di 60 minuti di immersione totale in italiano per bambini bilingue in età di scuola elementare. Gli studenti espanderanno il vocabolario e le capacità comunicative orali e scritte attraverso canzoni interattive, storie e giochi. Particolare attenzione sarà data alla cultura italiana, alla letteratura per l’infanzia, alle festività e alla geografia d'Italia.
Le lezioni sono facilitate da Alberto Orioles, tesoriere dell’ICC, pediatra e padre di Nico (di sette anni), sotto la guida della professoressa Elena Sclauzero che ha creato il curriculum del corso. La prof. Sclauzero si connetterà via Zoom ogni sabato dall’Italia per insegnare a distanza e guidare la didattica collaborando con Alberto e i bambini.

Elena Sclauzero è docente presso l’ Istituto Comprensivo 6 di Udine (Italia). Laureata in Scienze della Formazione, Scienze della Formazione Primaria, Didattica della Musica e Specializzata in Didattica per le attività di sostegno, esercita da 20 anni la professione di insegnante, dedicandosi in particolare alla didattica della musica e alla didattica speciale.
La sua attività si rivolge soprattutto a bambini delle fasce d’età 6-11 e 11-13 (anche in modalità on-line), con particolare attenzione a esigenze educative speciali. Dal 2019 si occupa di formazione dei docenti e tiene webinar e corsi sul tema dell’inclusione. Le sue ultime pubblicazioni, per le case editrici Rizzoli, Erickson e Progetti Sonori, riguardano in particolare la didattica musicale e i bisogni educativi speciali.

YOUTH SCHOOL
Bilingual / Advanced Ages 5-10
(max 8 kids)

A 60 minute in-person full-immersion lesson for bilingual elementary school children. Students will expand vocabulary and oral/written communication skills through interactive songs, stories, games, and imaginative play. Contemporary Italian culture, age-appropriate literature, traditional holidays, and geography will be emphasized.
The class will be facilitated by Alberto Orioles, ICC treasurer, pediatrician, and father of seven-year-old Nico under the direction of Prof. Elena Sclauzero who developed the curriculum for the course. Prof. Sclauzero will connect via Zoom every Saturday from Italy to guide and collaborate with Alberto and the children.
CALENDAR
Six Saturdays, at 2 pm. 4/23, 4/30, 5/14, 5/21, 5/28 & 6/11.

Elena Sclauzero works as a teacher at Istituto Comprensivo 6 Middle School in Udine, Italy. She holds university degrees in Education, including Elementary Education, Organ Performance, and Music Didactics. She is also certified as a special education teacher. She has over 20 years of experience teaching children aged 6 to 13 years—both in person and online—and teaching special education. She has been a teacher educator, holding webinars and courses with focus on social inclusion since 2019. Her latest works on music teaching and special education have been published by Rizzoli, Erickson and Progetti Sonori.
