A 60 minute immersion lesson, following a school wide snack, for early to mid-elementary school bilingual children. Students will develop good reading and writing, from special sounds (digrammi) to entire words and sentences; they will learn basic elements of grammar (articolo, nouns, pronouns, presente indicativo), and continue to expand vocabulary and oral communication skills through interactive songs, stories, games and imaginative play. Contemporary Italian culture, age appropriate literature, traditional holidays, and geography will be emphasized.

Students will use the Raccontami 2 textbook for both vocabulary expansion and basic grammar, plus a series of workbooks developed by Anna Maria Jaker for practicing together in class the use of special sounds and parts of speech. The textbook should be purchased by parents before the first day of class. Used copies can be sold and/or purchased on the ICC forum.

No classes on:
Sunday February 16 (Presidents' Day),
Sunday March 16 (Carnevale),
and from Sunday April 13 to Easter Sunday April 20 (SPRING BREAK).
