Please note courses are displayed in date and time order not in level order. Classes are offered once per week for ten weeks. The cost of the 10-week session is $315 with a required 1 year membership of $40 for an individual. Membership allows us to offer you a discount on classes as well as various events held throughout the year.

In addition, take note of grammar workshops, and other special courses that may be offered to intermediate level students.

ONLINE ZOOM Classes are limited to 8 students, however, the ICC reserves the right to adjust this number as is necessary.

Although we use the textbook, she comes up with creative ways to cover the material.  Also, she doesn’t waste class time having us do things that we can do on our own, but instead encourages conversation, while still covering the material.

    Placement Test

    Not sure in which class to register? Complete this placement test.*

    We offer a professional Italian language proficiency evaluation for a refundable $25 charge. The amount will be deducted from tuition when you enroll in our classes.

    Register and email the completed test to: annaolivero@theitalianculturalcenter.org, Director of Adult Language Program. You will be contacted to schedule a Zoom meeting to discuss the results of the test, your oral skills, and which class best fits your language needs.

    * This test is recommended for those who have some knowledge of Italian and are registering for our classes for the first time. Students registering for Beginner 1 and current students don't need to take this test.

    Learn the ins and outs of how to refer to people and objects:

    Pronomi Diretti e Indiretti Workshop

    Join us for a two hour workshop focused on how to refer to people and objects by using pronomi diretti e indiretti.  Led by a native instructor students will work on a series of exercises to review the rules and the pronoun's position in the sentence.  

    You will come away with a mastery of this complex aspect of the Italian language and with lots of good practice under your belt!

    Prerequisite: Pre-Intermediate 1

    Come Practice Passato Prossimo: How to Tell Stories in the Past

    Join us for a two-hour workshop focused on how to tell stories in the past. Led by a native instructor, students will practice how the passato prossimo is used in Italian in comparison to the use of the past tense in English.

    By the end of the workshop, you will be a great storyteller in Italian and have a full understanding of this tricky grammatical element of Italian!

    Prerequisite: Beginning Level 3.

    How to Express Likes and Dislikes:

    Verbo Piacere

    Join us for a two-hour workshop focused on the verb "piacere". Review how to express your likes and dislikes in the present and past tenses. 

    Lead by a native instructor the workshop is a great opportunity to practice the structure in meaningful and communicative contexts, encouraging students to gradually produce more complex sentences by reviewing other basic grammar rules. 


    Prerequisite: Beginning Level 2
