The 10th Annual Italian Film Festival of Minneapolis St. Paul is less than a month away!

The festival opens on February 22 with
Pierfrancesco Diliberto's newest comedy In Guerra Per Amore (At War for Love) and runs through February 25, 2018.

All screenings will take place on the Film Society's Screen #3 at St. Anthony Main Theater. Each year, the IFF screens the best contemporary Italian cinema, from thoughtful dramas to laugh-out-loud comedies, and this year promises the same. Many of the films will include post-screening discussions with filmmakers and experts, like Saturday's screening of Il Padre d'Italia (Father by Chance), a visually charming road-trip film and unconventional story about love and what it means to really need one another. After the film, there will be a post-screening Q&A with visiting director Fabio Mollo.

NEW THIS YEAR

The IFF is proud to unveil the Building Bridges: Emerging Filmmaker Awards for the best short films made in Italy and Minnesota, which will be announced after the closing film Smetto, Quando, Voglio: Masterclass (Sydney Sibilia, comedy). You certainly won't want to miss the winning short films, chosen by our talented panel of jurors, which will screen Saturday night. The awards ceremony and a discussion with the filmmakers will follow.
