Tortellini, also known as cappelletti, are hat-shaped pasta, sometimes also described as "navel shaped", hence their alternative name of "belly button" (ombelico). They are typically stuffed with a mix of meat. Originally from the Italian region of Emilia Romagna (in particular Bologna and Modena), they are usually served in broth or cream sauce.

On Sunday, November 12th, 2:00 – 4:00 PM, ICC instructor and native Italian, Romina Montanari, will lead this hands-on pasta making session at Mid-City Kitchen, a beautiful space in St. Paul.

Romina will demonstrate the process, and then it will be your turn to create some tortellini of your own!  Each participant will enjoy a glass of wine and some tortellini to taste and will bring the tortellini they just made home.

Cost for the event is $55 for members, and $65 for non-members. All ingredients are included, but please bring flat tray with two flour sack kitchen towels to carry your tortellini home.

Register now: our pasta classes are popular and fill quickly.

As always, all events must be cancelled at least 72 hours in advance to receive a refund, less administrative costs.
